The Digital Patient Record
The “Digital Patient and Process Model” research group at the Innovation Center for Computer-Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) is working on an expert system designed to support clinical treatment decisions based on patient-specific models.
For the graphical description and modeling of patient data, the project involves the conception, design, and development of an interactive information visualization system that enables the use of digital patient models based on multi-instance Bayesian networks developed by the ICCAS research group.
The goal of the browser-based application is to provide graphical support for patient-specific decision-making models. Key objectives in the interactive handling of patient models include, in particular, the speed of information retrieval, data exploration, and decision support incorporating conclusions and empirical values.
